Environmental Policy

At Willersey, we are dedicated to having a minimal impact on the environment. This policy lays out the ways in which we strive to do this.

Packaging and On-Site Recycling

When processing and packaging our products, we use the minimum amount of packaging to reduce our environmental impact. We are also actively researching bio-degradable packaging for our bacon and are happy to take any of our empty boxes back to use again or to be recycled.

All of our cardboard at Willersey Provisions is given to a local firm that shreds it for horse bedding.

Transport and Distribution

All of our transport vehicles are very modern and incorporate the latest technology to keep CO2 emissions low and use less fuel, reducing environmental impact — especially in city environments.

All of our deliveries are organised in such a way that the minimum amount of distance is covered, thus maximising the environmental efficiency of our vehicle fleet.

We source what we can locally. This is not always possible in a competitive market, but we always endeavour to buy in bulk from local sources to cut down on food miles.
